Saint John's senior forward Aaron Barmore (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) averaged 16 points and six rebounds while shooting a perfect 100 percent (12-for-12) from the field as the Johnnies earned two hard-fought victories last week. He led all scorers with 22 points on a perfect 7-for-7 night from the floor and added seven rebounds in SJU's 61-56 win at St. Thomas Feb. 1. The win was the first for SJU on the UST campus since Dec. 3, 2003, and completed the Johnnies' first regular-season sweep of the Tommies since the 1993-94 season. Barmore followed that performance with a steady 10 points and five rebounds in the 69-67 win over Hamline Feb. 4. He was named the MIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts.

In eight games since the 63-49 loss at Gustavus, a game in which he was held scoreless for the first time in 76 straight contests, Barmore has averaged 17 points, 5.3 rebounds and 34.6 minutes per game with a .682 shooting percentage. He currently leads the conference (MIAC games only) in minutes played (34.4 mpg.), is second in shooting percentage (.603) and ninth in scoring (15.1 ppg.).

The Johnnies (13-7, 9-6 MIAC) travel to face Bethel (11-9, 7-8 MIAC) for a 7:30 p.m. game this Wednesday, Feb. 8, in Arden Hills.
