MIAC Release

FARMINGTON, Minn. – Saint John's freshman forward Grady Monette (Andover, Minn.) was named the MIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Monette led SJU with eight points (3g/2a) and 16 shots (eight on goal) as the Johnnies opened the 2026 season with four-straight shutouts last week. One of his three goals was a game-winner and he assisted on another. 

The 22 goals scored through the season's first four games are a program record. The Johnnies have also out-shot competitors 100-11, including a 56-8 margin in shots on goal. Corner kicks are also 49-1 in favor of SJU. 

The Johnnies (4-0-0 overall) travel to face Bethany Lutheran (1-2-1 overall) tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 8) at 7 p.m. in Mankato.
