ABCA Release

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The 2026 Saint John's University baseball team achieved the Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack, from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Wednesday, July 22.

To be eligible for the Team Academic Excellence Award, a college or university must submit the grade points earned on its official squad list for the academic year and carry a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The 56 Johnnies on the roster combined for a 3.61 GPA.

The Johnnies finished third in the MIAC with a 13-7 record (28-16 overall) and made their 16th-consecutive appearance in the MIAC Tournament (18th overall) under the direction of first-year head coach Scott Lieser in 2026.
