BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Saint John's freshman
Max Edwards (Rockford, Minn.) was named the MIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Monday, March 16.
Edwards made his first collegiate start and allowed one run on five hits with 10 strikeouts (to two walks) in seven innings in the Johnnies' 6-2 win over Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Sunday (March 15) in Davenport, Fla.
He is now 2-0 with a save, 0.64 ERA, .143 opponent batting average and 15 strikeouts in 14 innings (three appearances) so far this spring.
The Johnnies (5-3 overall) face Worcester State (Mass.) for a 3:30 p.m. ET doubleheader today (Monday, March 16) in Davenport, Fla.
