CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Saint John's junior Connor Krueger (Superior, Wis.) ended his season with a pair of narrow losses on Friday, March 13, at the 2026 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.

Unseeded in the 133-pound bracket, Krueger started the tournament with a 4-2 loss to Esuar Ordonez of Springfield (Mass.). Following a scoreless first period, was down to start the second and escaped with 1:12 left for a 1-0 lead. Ordonez escaped just five seconds into the third period before gaining a 4-1 lead thanks to a takedown 40 seconds later. Krueger escaped eight seconds after the takedown for a 4-2 deficit, but was unable to score a takedown over the final 1:07.

Krueger faced Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Wyatt Unser, who dropped his opening match with an 8-1 decision to third-ranked James Day of Wabash (Ind.), in the first consolation match and fell by a 4-1 score. Unser deferred to start the second period and Krueger, who chose down, escaped five seconds into the frame for a 1-0 lead. Unser tied the match at 1-1 with an escape with 1:38 left in the third period and tallied the match-winning takedown with 59 seconds remaining. Krueger ended the season with a 21-5 record.
