STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Saint John's junior goaltender Bailey Huber (Mahtomedi, Minn.) made 44 saves and held No. 8 Wisconsin-Stevens Point scoreless over the game's final 61:51 in a 1-1 tie on Saturday, Jan. 13.

Noah Finstrom gave the Pointers (12-3-1, 6-1-0 WIAC) a quick 1-0 lead 3:09 into the game, but freshman Jack Wandmacher (St. Louis Park, Minn.) tallied the game-tying goal at the 14:15 mark of the opening frame, 17 seconds after SJU (6-8-3, 3-5-0 MIAC) killed off back-to-back penalties. The goal was Wandmacher's sixth of the season and his team-leading 11th point.

Huber made 43 saves after the Pointers' first-period goal, including 18 in the third period, to move his record to 2-5-2.

The Johnnies return to conference play by hosting Hamline at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.
