FT. MYERS, Fla. – Saint John's baseball's streak of three-straight wins came to an end with a 16-6 loss to Wabash (Ind.) on Friday, March 10.
The Johnnies (4-5 overall) issued 13 walks and a hit batsman to the Little Giants (8-4 overall), who totaled 19 hits and batted .500 (11-for-22) with runners in scoring position on the day.
Wabash broke open a 3-2 lead with four runs in the fifth inning and added a six-run eighth. SJU scored four runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

Owen Best (Aurora, Colo./Regis Jesuit) and senior designated hitter
Max Nyrop (Alameda, Calif.) led SJU with two hits apiece.
Senior southpaw
Casey Trapp (Blaine, Minn./Centennial) took the loss, allowing three runs on five hits in four innings. He struck out three and walked three.
The Johnnies end their spring-break trip with a 10 a.m. ET game vs. Augustana (Ill.) on Saturday, March 11.
