ASHLAND, Wis. – Saint John's hockey scored four unanswered goals, including three on the power play, in a 4-1 road win at Northland (Wis.) on Saturday, Nov. 5.
The Johnnies (2-1-0 overall) finished 3-for-8 on the man advantage in the victory and 5-for-12 (41.7 percent) for the two-game weekend.
The Lumberjacks (0-3-1 overall) gained an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Cameron Coutre, Northland's first shot on net, 6:35 into the game.

Joe Papa (St. Charles, Ill.) tied the game for SJU with 53 seconds left in the opening frame, his second goal of the season and fourth of his career.

Lewis Crosby (Edina, Minn.), the Johnnies' leader in goals with 17 last season, tallied the first of his two power-play goals of the afternoon 5:35 into the second period.

Max Borst (Edina, Minn.) gave the Johnnies a 3-1 lead with a power-play goal of his own at the 15:07 mark of the second and Crosby ended the game's scoring with his second tally at 12:58 of the third.

Bailey Huber (Mahtomedi, Minn.) improved to 2-0 in two collegiate starts with the victory. He stopped his final 17 shots faced.
SJU out-shot Northland by a 32-18 margin. The home team was whistled for nine penalties totaling 26 minutes.
The Johnnies host Concordia-Moorhead for their home and MIAC opener at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.
