NABC Release

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The Saint John's University basketball team was named the NCAA Division III Team of the Week (for games played Jan. 6-12) by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

SJU (12-1, 8-0 MIAC), which moved up three spots to No. 4 nationally in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll released yesterday (Jan. 13), extended its win streak to 12 games with a pair of road wins last week, including a convincing 87-70 win Jan. 11 at then-No. 5 UST.

The ranking is the highest for SJU since it was No. 3 for two weeks in February 2018.

The Johnnies open a three-game homestand at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, against Saint Mary's (7-6, 4-4 MIAC) in Sexton Arena.
