COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Two Saint John's University student-athletes – sophomore guards
Liam Farniok (Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest) and
Henry Tschetter (Stewartville, Minn.) – were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District men's basketball team on Tuesday, March 24.
Nominees must be a sophomore or better with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher. Athletically, basketball student-athletes must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the team's total.
Farniok is a finance major with a 3.57 GPA. One of five Johnnies to play all 27 games this season, Farniok made 27 starts and finished second on the team in both steals (17) and made three-pointers (39). He was also third in assists (54), fourth in minutes played (24.3 mpg.) and fifth in scoring (7.2 ppg.).
Tschetter is an economics major with a 3.83 GPA. He started all 25 games he played and averaged 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 20.1 minutes per contest Tschetter made 51.5 percent (70-for-136) of his shots.
A finance major with a 3.51 GPA, sophomore guard
Justin Johnson (Prior Lake, Minn./DeLaSalle) just missed qualifying for the distinction having played in 24 of the Johnnies' 27 games, or 88.9 percent. He averaged 6.5 points per game and was third on the team with 31 made three-pointers.
The Johnnies finished second in the MIAC with an 11-5 record (16-11 overall) and advanced to their sixth MIAC playoff championship game in the past seven seasons in 2025-26.
