MESA, Ariz. - No. 18 Saint John's golf opened its spring schedule with a 305-356 dual win over Monmouth (Ill.) on Thursday, March 7, at Arizona State University's Karsten Golf Course (par 72, 7,057 yards) in Mesa, Ariz.

Sophomore Esten Stensrud (Glenwood, Minn./Minnewaska Area) earned medalist honors to lead the Johnnies' with a 1-over par 73, while senior Jack Koehler (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and sophomore Preston Kopel (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Foley) followed with a 77 (+5) each. Juniors David Schneider (Albany, Minn.) and Matt Wahl (Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins) each carded a 78 (+6).

The Johnnies are scheduled to return to action with the annual Johnnie-Tommie Cup (dual vs. St. Thomas) April 7 at Monticello C.C.
