MIAC Release

FARMINGTON, Minn. - Saint John's senior Nate Appelhof (Blaine, Minn./Totino-Grace) was named the MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Appelhof tied for third out of 125 golfers thanks to last Tuesday's (Oct. 20) near-pristine round of four birdies on the back nine to go with a bogey and 13 pars for a 68 (-3), his sixth round at par or better this fall, as SJU ended its fall schedule by placing 10th out of 25 teams at the three-day Golfweek October Classic in Destin, Fla. 

He tied for first in the tournament with a -2 on the par-4 holes and completed the first half of the season with a team-best 73.4 average in 16 rounds and four top-10 finishes.

Appelhof was named The House Food & Tap's SJU Athlete of the Week yesterday (Monday, Oct. 26).
