ST. PAUL, Minn. - No. 19 Saint John's basketball shot 61.4 percent from the field in a 92-50 win at Macalester on Saturday, Jan. 5, in St. Paul.
The Johnnies' 61.4 percent (35-for-57) included a 57.9-percent (11-for-19) showing from three-point range in the win, SJU's (10-1, 6-0 MIAC) ninth in a row. The visitors out-rebounded Macalester (3-9, 0-7 MIAC) 43-20 and registered a 44-16 scoring advantage in the paint. Eight Johnnies scored five points or more in the victory.

Jubie Alade (Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) led four Johnnies in double figures with 16 points and six rebounds.
SJU shot 64 percent (16-for-25) from the floor and 60 percent (6-for-10) from three-point range to gain a 42-23 halftime lead.
Senior guard
David Stokman (Maple Lake, Minn.) and sophomore post
Zach Hanson (New Prague, Minn.) followed with 13 points apiece, while junior post
Lucas Walford (Elko, Minn./New Prague) chipped in 11. The 13 points enabled Stokman to pass Tom Grudnowski '72 for 14th in school history with 1,219 points.
Jackson Henningfield led all scorers with 22 points, on 8 of 22 shooting, for the Scots. Mac shot 30.2 percent (16-for-53) from the field and 29.2 percent (7-for-24) from behind the arc.
SJU is now 10-1 at the Leonard Center (est. 2008) and has won 13 of the last 14 meetings on the Scots' home floor. The Johnnies have won 15 of the last 16 meetings overall and 26 of the last 28.
The Johnnies return home for a three-game homestand, beginning with a 7 p.m. tip-off Monday, Jan. 7, against Concordia-Moorhead (3-8, 2-4 MIAC) in Sexton Arena. The Cobbers handed St. Olaf its first conference loss, 61-57, today in Northfield.
