COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Four Saint John's University cross country student-athletes earned 2018 Academic All-MIAC honors on Wednesday, Jan. 23.

Those honored (listed alphabetically) include:

-Sophomore Jack Colleran (Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy), a biology major with a 3.94 GPA;

For the seventh consecutive year, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) honored a record number of fall sport student-athletes, 427 total, with Academic All-Conference recognition.

The honor is the third consecutive for Lamb, who led SJU in 18th (out of 200 runners) at the MIAC Championship and 43rd (out of 210) at the NCAA Regional. He is also a two-time Academic All-MIAC honoree in both indoor and outdoor track and field.

Webb was the third Johnnie to cross the finish line at the MIAC meet in 22nd, while Colleran rounded out the Johnnies' five in 48th. The order replicated itself two weeks later at the NCAA regional when Webb claimed 45th and Colleran placed 90th. Cruz finished 61st at the conference championship and 128th at the regional.

SJU finished fifth out of 11 teams at the 2017 MIAC Championship and 10th out of 31 teams at the NCAA Central Regional. The Johnnies have 35 top-eight finishes at their last 37 NCAA Central Regionals (going back to 1982), including five titles and 23 top-five finishes.
