Hat Trick Leads St. Olaf Past SJU Soccer

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Saint John's soccer team was bested by the hot foot of St. Olaf's Kyle Leemon, who registered a hat trick, in a 3-0 loss Saturday, Sept. 23. 

Leemon, a senior for the Oles, registered goals in the 14th, 27th and 77th minutes to lead his team past the Johnnies. 

St. Olaf (2-6-0, 2-1-0 MIAC) out-shot SJU by a 24-10 margin, including 10-5 on goal. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Payton Spencer (Hudson, Wis.) made seven saves for the Johnnies (1-4-1, 0-2-1 MIAC). 

Junior forward Uriel Cordoba (Medford, Ore./South Medford) led SJU with three shots, two on goal. 

The Johnnies return home to host Augsburg at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Haws Field.
