FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Saint John's and Marian (Wis.) played to a 3-3 tie on Friday, Nov. 24, in Fond du Lac, Wis.
The Johnnies (6-2-1, 2-2-0 MIAC) bounced back from an early 2-0 deficit with three straight goals, but allowed the game-tying tally during a 4-on-4 with 8:48 remaining.
Marian (4-2-1, 2-2-0 NCHA) gained the quick 2-0 lead thanks to a breakaway goal from Derek Thorogood 58 seconds into the game and a power-play goal from Hunter Stewart two minutes later.

Robb Stautz (Roseville, Minn.) cut the Johnnies' deficit in half with his second goal of the season 7:30 in. Stautz possessed the puck into the zone on a 2-on-1, kept it and crashed the net himself. Junior forward

Jake Dittel tied the game at 2-2 with his second collegiate goal 4:08 into the second period on a pair of pretty 3-on-2 passes from Fritz and senior forward

Stautz gave SJU a 3-2 lead with his second goal of the night, and 10th of his career, when a blocked shot from sophomore forward

With 9:28 left, the Sabres' Mitchell Baummann was issued a 5-minute major and game misconduct for contact to the head, but Dittel was called for a 2-minute minor. Thorogood tied it at 3-3 with his second goal of the evening during the ensuing 4-on-4 with 8:48 remaining.
Sophomore goaltender
Andrew Lindgren (Minneapolis, Minn.) made a career-high 37 saves, including stops on a pair of breakaways, in the tie. SJU was out-shot 40-22 in the game, but hit the pipe three times on the night.
The Johnnies travel to face No. 15 Concordia (Wis.) at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, in Mequon, Wis.
