PHOENIX, Ariz. – No. 22 Saint John's golf and No. 1/3 St. Thomas played to a 287-287 tie on Friday, March 25, at The Legacy Golf Club (par 71) in Phoenix.

Each team consisted of six student-athletes of which the top four scores counted toward the final team tally.

Junior Mack Farley (Lakeville, Minn./South) tied with the Tommies' Pete Sienko for medalist honors with a one-under par 70. Classmate Ryan Gallagher (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) followed closely with an even-par 71, while sophomore Austin Kottke (New Prague, Minn.) posted a one-over par 72. Sophomore Josh Polingo (Litchfield, Minn.) carded a 74 (+3) to complete the Johnnies' team score of 287 (+3).

UST was the top-ranked team in NCAA Division III by Golfstat at the end of the fall season, while SJU was ranked No. 22. The Tommies were ranked third nationally in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches' rankings released March 11. The Johnnies received votes.

SJU returns to action at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational April 1-2 in Normal, Ill.
