The Lakers (4-4-1, 3-3-1 SUNYAC) got on the scoreboard with a power-play goal 5:41 into the second period and added an insurance goal, even strength, 5:26 into the third.
Total shots were even at 25-25. SJU (2-6-2, 2-2-0 MIAC) went 0-for-5 on the power play (0-for-7 on the weekend).

Saxton Soley (Elk Mound, Wis.) made 23 saves in the loss, which was SJU's sixth game against a ranked opponent already this season (2-2-2 record).
The Johnnies return to conference play with a 7:05 p.m. game at Gustavus Adolphus on Friday, Dec. 4, in St. Peter.
