The victory extended the Johnnies' unbeaten streak to 10 games (8-0-2 record).
Sophomore
Daniel Bruckbauer (Fargo, N.D./Shanley) scored the game-winning goal for SJU (9-1-2, 4-0-1 MIAC), his third in his last four games, in the 61st minute. Assists were credited to junior
Ryley Sullivan (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho/Gonzaga Prep, Wash.) and sophomore
Alex Schnobrich (Houlton, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's).
Senior goalkeeper
Kevin Lebahn (New Hope, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) made two saves to improve to 9-1-2 on the season and earn his third shutout of the season (14th of his career).
The Johnnies out-shot BU (3-7-2, 1-4-1 MIAC) 14-4 (4-2 on goal) and held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.
SJU is now 29-7-4 against Bethel since 1979, including a 13-5-2 record in Arden Hills and a 9-1-1 mark in the last 11 meetings overall.
The Johnnies return home to host Gustavus Adolphus in a rematch of the 2014 MIAC Playoff Championship game at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Haws Field.
