Box ScoreCOLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's soccer increased its lead atop the conference standings and ran its unbeaten streak to 11 games (9-0-2 record) with a 1-0 win over Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Collegeville.The victory gave SJU its second consecutive 10-win season and 30th in the program's history. The 11-game unbeaten streak is the Johnnies' longest since 1987 (12 games, 11-0-1 record). The school record for an unbeaten streak is 17 games, set in 1979 (14-0-3 record to start the season before falling in the fourth round of the NAIA national tournament).

Cole Howard (Ridgefield, Wash./Skyview) 14:08 into the match proved to be the difference for SJU (10-1-2, 5-0-1 MIAC). The goal was Lehrer's first of the season and third of his career.
Senior
Kevin Lebahn (New Hope, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) made five saves to record his fourth shutout of the season and 15th of his career. He is now 10-1-2 on the season and leads the MIAC goalkeepers (among those with 500 minutes played) in both save percentage (.900) and GAA (0.49) in league play.
SJU out-shot the Gusties (5-4-3, 0-4-3 MIAC), the reigning MIAC Playoff champions, 19-7 (6-5 on goal) and held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks. The Johnnies connected on nearly 300 passes, while GAC was just under 250.
The Johnnies travel to face Concordia (2-11, 1-6 MIAC) for a 3:30 p.m. match on Saturday, Oct. 17, in Moorhead.
