Senior
Ian Scudder (Sherwood, Ore.) put SJU (3-1, 0-0 MIAC) on the scoreboard, which proved to be the game-winning goal, with a rebound tally 16:01 into the match. The goal was Scudder's first since Oct. 27, 2012, which at the time enabled him to end the regular season as the MIAC's leading scorer with 22 points (8g/6a) in 10 conference matches. Scudder, however, suffered a high-ankle sprain during preseason practices last fall and only appeared in six matches, with two starts, in 2013.

Zach Wright (Blaine, Minn.) made it 2-0 just before halftime (43:30) with his second goal of the young season, on an assist from classmate
Rocky Harmon (Hudson, Wis.).
Freshman
Daniel Bruckbauer (Fargo, N.D./Shanley) ended the scoring with 2:34 remaining, his first collegiate tally, on assists from Wright and senior
Josh Whitaker (Milwaukie, Ore.).
Freshman
Treyton Neuharth (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) recorded his first collegiate win and shutout in nearly effortless fashion, as SJU out-shot the Buccaneers (0-3, 0-0 MWC) 22-0 in the contest, including a 7-0 advantage on goal.
The Johnnies return home to host a pair of nationally-ranked teams next weekend, beginning with a noon bout with No. 11 Wartburg (Iowa) on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Haws Field in Collegeville. SJU then plays host to No. 2 Loras (Iowa) at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14.
