The Knights (4-1, 0-0 IIAC) gained a 1-0 lead on a goal from Dan Nadeau, his first of two on the day, 27:06 into the match.

Ryley Sullivan (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho/Gonzaga Prep, Wash.), who sent a high cross into the box. The 5-foot-9 Anderson flashed his vertical jump and headed a shot behind himself, over his right shoulder, to the back of the net.
Wartburg answered quickly, however, with a pair of goals 1:05 apart to gain a 3-1 lead.
SJU (3-2, 0-0 MIAC) had a chance to cut its deficit to 3-2 with 21:40 remaining, but junior
Alex Niederloh's (Maple Grove, Minn.) penalty shot was stopped by a sprawling Donald Ticknor, one of his five saves on the afternoon.
Nadeau added his second goal of the game, and fifth of the season, on a free kick just outside the box with 5:22 left.
Wartburg held a slight edge in shots, 12-11 (7-6 on goal), though SJU registered eight corner kicks to the Knights' two.
The Johnnies play host to No. 10 Loras (Iowa) for a 2 p.m. match on Sunday, Sept. 14, at Haws Field.
