ORLANDO, Fla. – Luther (Iowa) handed Saint John's a 7-2 loss on Tuesday, March 26, in Orlando, Fla.

Senior Fabricio Moncada (Managua, Nicaragua/Lincoln International Academy) improved to 11-4 overall and 6-3 at No. 1 singles via the super-breaker, 10-3. He won the first set 6-1 before falling in the second, 7-6 (7-4). Moncada and junior Connor Rust (Rochester, Minn./Lourdes) suffered a tough 9-8 (8-6) loss at No. 1 doubles earlier in the day.

Freshmen Jack Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) and Andrew Nagel (Maple Grove, Minn.) earned the Johnnies' (2-7, 2-1 MIAC) other win at No. 3 doubles, 8-5.

Senior Zach Shriwise (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley West) won the first set via the tie-breaker but lost the second set (6-3) and the super-breaker (10-8) at No. 5 singles.

The Johnnies end their spring-break trip with a pair of matches Wednesday, March 27. SJU takes on Division II West Alabama at 8:30 a.m. local time before ending the day with a 3:30 p.m. match against Hamilton (N.Y.).
