ST. PAUL, Minn. – Saint John's earned a much-needed 1-0 win over Macalester on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in St. Paul.

Junior David Wee's (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) goal, his fourth of the season, off a free kick with 7:01 left in the first half proved to be the game-winner for SJU (4-5-1, 2-2-0 MIAC). Senior Michael Coborn (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) took the free kick following a Macalester (5-5-1, 1-2-1 MIAC) foul and the ball pin-balled off a few players in the box before finding Wee's foot.

Sophomore Kevin Lebahn (New Hope, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) made three saves to earn his second shutout of the season, fifth of his career, and improve to 2-4-1 in net.

The Johnnies travel to face Carleton for a 1 p.m. match Saturday, Oct. 5, at Bell Field in Northfield.
