10k Freestyle Results (Sat.) | 10k Classic Results (Sun.)

DULUTH, Minn. – Saint John's finished seventh in both races at an NCAA Qualifier held this weekend in Duluth.

Senior Jared Sundstrom (Proctor, Minn.) led the Johnnies in both races, finishing 14th (32:21) in Saturday's 10k freestyle and 16th (33:19) in Sunday's 10k classic.

Freshman Kellen Witschen (Aurora, Minn./Mesabi East) followed Sundstrom in second for the Johnnies in both races. Sophomore Ethan Evenson (Mounds View, Minn./Irondale) finished 40th (36:03) to give SJU its third qualifying time on Saturday, while freshman Nate Engel (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) did so in 46th (36:40) on Sunday.

The Johnnies return to action at another NCAA Qualifier next weekend at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis.
