MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Saint John's dropped its second MIAC match of the season to St. Thomas by a score of 7-2 on Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Baseline Tennis Club in Minneapolis.

The Johnnies (1-3, 0-2 MIAC) picked up wins from freshman Fabricio Moncada (Managua, Nicaragua/Lincoln International Academy) and senior Dutch Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) at Nos. 1 (6-3, 6-3) and 2 (6-4, 6-3), respectively.

Sophomore Ian Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) and senior Luke Odegaard (Forest Lake, Minn.) dropped singles matches in the super-breaker. Junior Elliott Elm (Eagan, Minn./Holy Angels), meanwhile, won his first set 6-3 and was ahead 3-2 in the second before retiring at No. 4 singles due to injury.

The Johnnies travel to Puerto Rico for four matches over spring break next week.
