Saint John's sophomore forward Ian Scudder (Sherwood, Ore.) recorded four goals as the Johnnies (6-5-3, 3-2-1 MIAC) earned four points in the conference standings last week. He tallied a hat trick, his first career multi-goal game, in SJU's 5-0 win Oct. 10 at Bethel. Scudder then gave the Johnnies a 1-0 lead, 27:20 into their match at MIAC-leading St. Thomas, his sixth goal of the season. SJU and UST ended in a 2-2 tie Oct. 13. Scudder earned MIAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week honors for his performance.

He currently leads the team in goals (6) and points (15) and is tied for third in the MIAC with 12 points (5g/2a) in conference play.

SJU plays host to Macalester (3-10-1, 2-5-0 MIAC) for its first home match in three weeks this Wednesday, Oct. 17. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Clemens Stadium in Collegeville.
