Saint John's University sophomore Dennis Granath (Bandhagen, Sweden/Farsta Gymnasium) birdied No. 18 to finish with a one-under par 71 and end the 2011 NCAA Division III Championship with an even-par 288 May 13. He finished in a tie for seventh to earn PING All-America first-team honors. The even-par tournament is the second-best for a Johnnie at nationals.

Granath ended the season with a team-best 74.3 stroke average in 23 rounds (74.4 career avg. in 40 rounds).

As a team, Saint John's tied for third out of 40 teams to post the Johnnies 10th top-eight finish out of its 12 appearances (fifth in the top five).
