Rost is in his 13th year as an assistant athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach in 2025-26. He received his bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and his master’s degree in exercise science and education from Wayne State, Neb. Rost served as a graduate assistant from 2011-13 at Briar Cliff, Iowa, where he was the head athletic trainer for football and wrestling. Rost earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) licensure to be able to perform his dual position at SJU. Justin and his wife, Corrie, live in Avon with their four children, Nina, Patrick, Parker and Moriah.
