Jonah Prokott joined the SJU athletics staff in the summer of 2026.
In his role, Prokott will develop, execute and manage visual storytelling, digital content and sports marketing sponsorship material for the athletic department. He serves as the point person for all of SJU athletics' digital boards and sponsorship executions, including the Johnnie Tailgate and other in-game promotions.
Prokott came to SJU from Division II Arkansas Tech University where he served as a graduate assistant in the athletic communications office. He completed his M.B.A. from Arkansas Tech in May of 2026 while also competing for the ATU Wonder Boys in baseball.
He collected four wins in 15 appearances (25.1 innings pitched) and 22 strikeouts in his fifth-year on the mound.
He served as the ATU's only graduate assistant, aiding with the day-to-day operations of several athletic offices. He was instrumental in event coverage, managing the ATU video boards, music, replay and multimedia displays.
A native of Pierz, Minn., Prokott attended DII Minot State (N.D.) where he earned his undergraduate degree in marketing while playing baseball for the Beavers. The right-hander compiled a 10-3 record in 31 games (100.1 innings pitched) with a 6.01 ERA and 92 strikeouts to 29 walks.
