Ross MacMullan is in his first season as the Johnnies' goalkeepers coach in 2025. He held the same role with nearby St. Cloud State University from 2022-25.
Prior to joining the staff at SCSU, MacMullan spent three seasons as a high school coach for the Hutchinson/Glencoe-Silver Lake boys varsity team. He has also served as a coach with club teams Tonka United, HUSA and Bloomington. He has worked with both Iowa and Minnesota Olympic Development Programs and served as a camp instructor for the MN Thunder and Gregg Thompson residential camp.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, MacMullan was a three-year starter for St. Olaf after transferring from DI Drake University (Iowa). He played in 53 games and logged 4661:59 minutes for the Oles. In his first season, MacMullan totaled a 17-2-1 record as a goalkeeper with a program record 11 shutouts in a single season. He finished his career with a 33-18-2 record, 22 shutouts, 127 saves and a 1.20 GAA. His 33 wins are tied for third all-time in program history and his 22 shutouts place him second. MacMullan was named the team MVP in 2001 to go along with All-MIAC honors.
Prior to his collegiate career, MacMullan was a ODP Player at Mahtomedi High School where he was a Minnesota High School State All-Tournament Team.
