Parsa Monsef


Monsef is in his first season as an assistant coach for SJU in 2017-18. A 2017 graduate of Hamline University, with a degree in business administration wtih a concentration in accounting, Monsef played two seasons with the Pipers. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports management at St. Cloud State University. A native of Toronto, Monsef speaks three languages and is a graduate of Langstaff Secondary School. He played minor hockey in the GTHL followed by Tier II junior hockey in the OJHL. In his final season, he was an alternate captain for the GOJHL's Stoney Creek Warriors and totaled 15 points (4g/11a) before making the move to the State of Hockey. Monsef began his coaching career with the Chaska-Chanhassen Hockey Association and led the U15A girls team to a 21-13-4 record in 2015-16. This past season, he moved over to the boys side as an assistant coach with the Bantam A team, helping prepare young athletes for the rigors of high school hockey. The team was ranked in the top 10 all season and managed to finish fifth at the state tournament.
