Borden is in his second season as an assistant hockey coach at Saint John’s in 2017-18. He served as an assistant coach at Bethel in 2015-16 and spent six seasons as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator with the Granite City Lumberjacks. In those six seasons from 2009-15, the Lumberjacks won two NA3HL Silver Cups, an NA3HL division championship, a MnJHL regular-season championship, a MnJHL playoff championship and made two appearances in the national tournament. Before joining the Jacks, Borden was an assistant coach and head scout for the NAHL’s Alexandria Blizzard from 2006-09 and was the associate head coach and head scout for the MnJHL’s Minnesota Ice Hawks from 2002-06. He has also served as a coach with the Midwest Elite II High School League, the Northern Plains USA Hockey Festival and the South Dakota USA Hockey Development Camp. Borden is a 2002 graduate of Brockport State (N.Y.) and resides in St. Augusta.
