Musta enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Johnnies in 2010-11. Musta was most recently a founding member and head coach of the Energy Midget AAA team in Omaha, Neb. He helped guide the Energy to a Tri-State Championship in each of his two seasons. Musta was also the head junior varsity coach and varsity assistant coach in New Richmond, Wis. He has worked as a goaltender coach for individuals, teams, and entire youth organizations. As an athlete, Musta was an All-State goaltender for South St. Paul H.S. and participated in two state tournaments. He then played on the 1996-97 Twin Cities Vulcan team, which at the time, was captained by Coach Schueller. Following his year in the USHL, he attended and played hockey at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Musta resides in Montrose with his wife, Mandy, and daughter, Mallory.
