Bauman is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Johnnies in 2017-18. A 2017 graduate of Saint John's, Bauman earned a bachelor's degree in biology and was a four-year member on the SJU basketball team. Bauman has served as a volunteer skills coach for the Monticello High School basketball team, where he graduated from in 2013. He is currently working a dental internship in Golden Valley.
