2008: Suffered a season-ending knee injury in the season opener against East Texas Baptist on Sept. 6...made four tackles (one solo)... named to D3football.com Preseason All-America First Team, Lindy’s Preseason All-Division III First Team, Consensus Draft Services Preseason All-America, USA Today Sports Weekly Preseason All-America First Team and The Sporting News Preseason All-America First team.

2007: Started all 12 games at defensive tackle...named to 2007 D3football.com All-America second team... named to D3football.com All-West Region first team...earned All-MIAC first-team honors...named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first team...named MIAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 24 for his performance in the 55-21 win over Concordia-Moorhead on Sept. 22...made eight tackles (five solo), including one tackle for a loss of two yards and one quarterback sack against the Cobbers...named the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in SJU’s 40-0 win at Gustavus Adolphus on Oct. 13...posted five tackles (three solo), including 2.5 tackles for a loss of 16 yards, 1.5 quarterback sacks and one fumble recovery against the Gusties…finished fourth on the team in tackles with 71 (33 solo)...totaled 15 tackles for a loss and 9.5 sacks...blocked three kicks...named to D3football.com Preseason All-America First Team, Street and Smith’s Preseason Division III All-America Team and Lindy’s Preseason All-Division III First Team.

2006: Started all 13 games at defensive tackle...named D3football.com All-America honorable mention...named to D3football.com All-West Region first team...earned All-MIAC first-team honors...finished second on the team in tackles with 77 (41 solo)...totaled 18.5 tackles for a loss and 9.5 sacks.

2005: Made nine tackles (five solo)...assisted on one quarterback sack.

Personal: Born 12/15/86...Son of Gary & Barb Gunderson...accounting major...was a member of the SJU track and field team from 2006-08...high school teammate of linebacker Colin Owens and defensive back Pepper Skytte...a 2005 graduate of Woodbury H.S...played for head coach Paul Herzog.
