2010: Returns in 2010 due to his 2006 redshirt at Division I-AA North Dakota State.

2009: Saw action in all 11 games…recorded 15 tackles (13 solo) and 2.5 sacks.

2008: Played in all 11 games...totaled 10 tackles (five solo), including 2.5 tackles for a loss of seven yards.

2007: Appeared in all 12 games...posted 22 tackles (three solo), including three tackles for a loss of 11 yards...intercepted one pass for an 89-yard touchdown against Augsburg on Sept. 15.

Personal: Born April 20, 1988...son of Joseph and Becky Burns...biology major (pre-medicine emphasis)...transferred to SJU from NCAA Division I-AA North Dakota State...a 2006 graduate of Fargo Shanley H.S. (N.D.)...played for the Deacons under the direction of head coach Dale Hammerschmidt.
