Taylor is in his eighth season as an assistant coach for the SJU football team in 2008.  Taylor is the former head football coach at Sartell High School, where he made five state tournament appearances and won the state Class A title in 1994.  Taylor was inducted into the Minnesota State Coaches Association Hall of Fame in November 2003.  Taylor and his wife, Kathy, live in St. Joseph and have two adult children and six grandchildren.
