A 1977 graduate of SJU, Becker is in his eighth season as an assistant baseball coach for the Johnnies in 2023-24. Becker played baseball and football for the Johnnies, where he was a member of SJU’s 1976 NCAA Division III national-championship football team. He is an assistant baseball coach for Tri-City Red, an American Legion baseball team based out of New Brighton (Post #513). Off the diamond, Becker is a founder of Northstar Capital, a leading private equity firm based in Minneapolis.
