FARMINGTON, Minn. – Saint John's senior quarterback
Trey Feeney (Moorhead, Minn.) was named the MIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Feeney finished 36 of 51 passing for 386 yards and three touchdowns in the Johnnies' 24-21 win over then-No. 10 Wisconsin-La Crosse. His 36 completions were the third-most in an SJU game, while the 51 attempts tied for seventh. The 386 passing yards were the most by SJU in its season opener since 1990.
The eighth-ranked Johnnies return from their bye to host Hamline (1-0 overall) for the MIAC opener at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, in Collegeville.
