AFCA Poll – Week 2

WACO, Texas – Saint John's University vaulted three spots to No. 5 in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 poll, presented by GoRout Gridiron, released Monday, Sept. 14.

SJU (1-0 overall) also moved up to No. 5 in last night's (Sept. 13) D3football.com Top 25 poll.

Seven teams in NCAA Region 6 were ranked in the AFCA's top 25, including five in the top 10: Wisconsin-Platteville (No. 3), Wisconsin-River Falls (No. 4), SJU (No. 5), Bethel (No. 7), Wisconsin-Whitewater (No. 9), Linfield (No. 20) and Wisconsin-La Crosse (No. 23). Wisconsin-Oshkosh (8), Wisconsin-Stout (6) and Chapman (1) received votes.

The Johnnies return from their bye week to host Hamline (1-0 overall) for the MIAC opener at 1 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 19, in Clemens Stadium.
