SARTELL, Minn. – Saint John's tennis suffered a 6-1 loss to St. Olaf on Sunday, March 8, at Sta-Fit.

Junior Alex Draeger (Litchfield, Minn.) and sophomore Cole Haabala (Alexandria, Minn.) posted a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles for SJU (0-3, 0-3 MIAC), but the Oles (3-4, 2-1 MIAC) swept Nos. 2 (6-4) and 3 (6-2) for the team point.

Haabala improved to 2-1 (2-1 MIAC) with the Johnnies' lone singles win at No. 5: 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 10-7.

Freshman Nam Tran (Shakopee, Minn./Eden Prairie) just missed his first MIAC win at No. 4 singles with a 6-3 victory in his first set, but dropped the second 6-0 and the super-breaker, 10-8.

The Johnnies open their four-match, spring-break trip next Monday, March 16, against Western Connecticut State in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
