COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's basketball completed the season sweep of Carleton with an 81-58 victory on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Sexton Arena.

SJU recorded a 13-4 scoring advantage off turnovers and a 17-9 total in second-chance points thanks to 16 offensive boards (a 44-32 rebounding margin overall).

Freshman guard
Peyton Podany (Anoka, Minn.) led all scorers with 20 points, his fifth 20-point game of the season, in 25 minutes. He finished 4-for-10 from three-point range (3-for-6 in the second half).
Junior guard
Baiden Bean (Farmington, Minn.) totaled seven points, 11 assists and four steals in 22:17 of action. His lone turnover was a jump ball in the paint during the second half.
Matt Drake led Carleton (12-10, 8-5 MIAC) with 17 points. The Knights finished at 36.8 percent (21-for-57) from the field, including 18.8 percent (3-for-16) from three-point land.
The Johnnies travel to face Macalester (7-15, 2-11 MIAC) for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Leonard Center in St. Paul.
