Day 1 Results
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Saint John's junior diver
Cody Watts (St. Cloud, Minn./Tech) and the 800-yard freestyle relay earned All-MIAC honors on the opening night of the 2026 MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the University of Minnesota's Jean Freeman Aquatic Center.
The Johnnies lead the six-team field with 107 points, two ahead of Carleton in second (105). Gustavus Adolphus is third (80) and Macalester is fourth (79).
Watts finished third for his first All-MIAC honor (top three at MIAC meet) off the 3-meter board and third overall. He posted a preliminary score of 401.55 and a mark of 387.05 in the finals.
Senior
Tim Rotter (Blaine, Minn.) and sophomore
Henry Hilgendorf (Owatonna, Minn.) finished directly behind Watts in fourth and fifth, respectively. Rotter totaled a 347.45 in his preliminary dives and a 353.80 in the finals, while Hilgendorf scored a 313.10 in prelims and a 342.95 in the nightcap.
In all, SJU scored 45 points on the 3-meter dive, the most of any school. The three divers from Carleton, including reigning MIAC Diver of the Year and 2026 conference champion Hans Anderson, totaled 43 points, followed by Hamline's 17 and Macalester's 13.

Carsten Reuter (St. Cloud, Minn./Tech) and freshmen
Braydon Ohrtman (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and
Vincent Schulze (Eden Prairie, Minn.) also earned a top-three finish, taking second with a 6:50.38, just 0:00.25 behind Gustavus Adolphus in first. The time was the fourth-fastest in program history and just missed the third-best SJU time from 2024 by 0:00.04.
The 200-yard medley relay team finished fifth in 1:36.88. The team of senior

Jackson Hovda (Sartell, Minn./Sartell-St. Stephen) and freshman
David Lammers (Willmar, Minn.) were two seconds behind the logjam from second (1:34.18) to fourth place (1:34.34).
The second day of the conference meet begins with prelims at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by finals at 6:30 p.m. in Minneapolis. The men's side features the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley relay.
