COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Thirty registered participants from the suburbs of Midwest joined together indoors for a 2026 opening camp. CSB+SJU Director of Rugby Nate Augspurger, who was a former Eagles player and Olympian, taught high-level passing and kicking skills with fun drills and exercises. The participants took advantage of every second and every detail of being coached by a former professional. 

The SJU and CSB rugby clubs participated as active bystanders, assisting the camp as experienced players and mentors. Each participant was eager to learn and portrayed passion for the sport. Players from high school clubs like Minnetonka and Eden Prairie demonstrated their skills and desire for storied and decorated athletic careers in rugby.

The SJU rugby team practices on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The team also lifts on Monday.
