BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Saint John's senior tight end
Joey Gendreau (Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka) was named the MIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Oct. 13.
Gendreau became the fifth Johnnie in program history to catch four touchdown passes or more in a game with four (21, 62, 7 and 4 yards), to go along with 115 yards, on six catches in the first half of Saturday's 70-0 win over Macalester.
He has eclipsed 100 receiving yards in four of SJU's five games this season and currently leads the MIAC in receiving touchdowns (7), and is second in receiving yards (577) and fourth in receptions (37).
SJU, which is ranked as high as No. 10 nationally, travels to face Concordia (4-1, 3-1 MIAC) for a 1 p.m. kickoff this Saturday, Oct. 18, in Moorhead.
