SJU's Conlin & Siefken Named CSC Academic All-District

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University senior goalkeeper Evan Siefken (Lakeville, Minn./North) and junior defender Foster Conlin (Mooresville, N.C./Mounds View) were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District IV men's soccer team on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Nominees must be a sophomore or better with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher. Athletically, student-athletes must either appear in 90 percent of his team's games or start 66 percent of them.

CSC's Academic All-Americans will be voted on by organization members and announced on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Both honorees earned Academic All-MIAC recognition (minimum 3.5 GPA) in 2023 and received All-MIAC honors Nov. 11. Siefken was named to the All-MIAC first team for the third-straight season and Conlin was All-MIAC honorable mention.

A global business leadership major with a 3.57 GPA, Siefken became the Johnnies' first three-time All-MIAC selection since Michael Coborn '14, a four-time honoree from 2010-13, and at goalkeeper since Terry Leiendecker '83 (1980-82). He started all 15 games and played all but 11:15 in net, posting a 6-8-1 mark with three shutouts, a 1.68 GAA and a .752 save percentage (76 saves) this fall.

Siefken was All-MIAC honorable mention as a freshman in 2021 and earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region IX third-team honors in 2021 and 2022. He ended his career with a 26-30-9 record, 16 shutouts (another shared), a 1.36 GAA and a .797 save percentage (345 saves) in 65 career games.

Conlin started all 15 games and led the Johnnie field players with 1,146 minutes played this season. He is a finance major with a 3.68 GPA and has two assists in 41 career games.

SJU finished eighth in the conference with a 3-6-1 record (6-8-1 overall) and missed the six-team MIAC Playoffs for just the second time in the last 12 seasons in 2024.
