COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University stayed at No. 6 in tonight's (Oct. 2) D3football.com Top 25 poll.
North Central (Ill.) received 18 first-place votes and 612 points for the second consecutive week to keep the top spot in the poll. Mount Union (Ohio) received five first-place votes and is No. 2 (600 points), followed by Wisconsin-Whitewater (one first-place vote, 571 points), Mary Hardin-Baylor of Texas (one first-place vote, 557 points), Trinity of Texas (483 points) and SJU (476 points).
Seven teams in NCAA Region 6 were ranked in the top 25: Wisconsin-Whitewater (No. 3), SJU (No. 6), Linfield (No. 7), Wisconsin-La Crosse (No. 9), Bethel (No. 11), Wisconsin-Oshkosh (No. 16) and Wisconsin-River Falls (No. 17). Wisconsin-Stout received votes.

Aaron Syverson (Minnetonka, Minn.) set career highs in passing yards (360) and touchdowns (5) in the victory and joined Jackson Erdmann '19 and Kurt Ramler '97 as the only SJU quarterbacks to throw for 300 passing yards in three consecutive games. Junior wide receiver
Jimmy Buck (Orono, Minn.) caught five passes for 111 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He became the first SJU receiver to record three consecutive 100-yard receiving games since Evan Clark '17 in 2016.
SJU (3-1, 1-1 MIAC) closes out MIAC interdivisional play when it travels to Minneapolis to take on Augsburg (3-1, 1-1 MIAC) at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8. Parking will be available at Lot L (located on 25th & Riverside) and the Fairview West Bank Ramp (2450 Riverside Ave., Minneapolis). SJU's first Northwoods Division game is the following week - Oct. 15 - at St. Olaf.
