A LOOK AT THE JOHNNIES: Saint John's (6-3-3, 3-3-1 MIAC) erased a 2-1 deficit with three unanswered goals over the game's final 25:07 to earn a 4-2 road win at Hamline on Saturday (Oct. 15) in St. Paul.
Hamline gained its first and only lead of the game, 2-1, on a goal from Nate Vogel in the 61st minute. The Johnnies, however, responded by posting a 10-2 advantage in shots (6-1 on goal), three of which found the net, over the remainder of the game.

Kevin Stark-Haws (Cold Spring, Minn./Saint John's Prep) added an insurance goal, his third of the season, with 5:39 to play.

Kaidan Popp (Redmond, Wash./Mount Si) gave SJU an early 1-0 lead with his fourth goal of the season and sixth of his career in the 15th minute, with assists going to Erickson and freshman defender
Foster Conlin (Mooresville, N.C./Mounds View). Logan Weller tied the game at 1-1 for HU on a rebound off his initial shot on net in the 22nd minute.
Sophomore
Evan Siefken (Lakeville, Minn./North) made four saves to move his record to 5-3-3 on the season.
SJU finished with a 20-11 (10-6 on goal) advantage in shots, including a 14-3 performance in the second half, and an 8-2 margin in corner kicks.
2X3: Erickson has now recorded two points in each of his last three games. He tallied the Johnnies' lone goal Oct. 9 at St. Olaf and Oct. 12 vs. Bethel, and added a pair of assists in Saturday's win at Hamline. Erickson has 26 points (8g/10a) in 53 career games.
A LOOK AT THE BLUGOLDS: Wisconsin-Eau Claire (14-2 overall) snapped a two-game losing streak – defeats at Augsburg (1-0 on Oct. 4) and St. Olaf (3-0 on Oct. 6) – with an 8-0 win last Friday (Oct. 14) at Finlandia (Mich.). Sophomore Nathan Donovan scored five goals and another sophomore, Carter Thiesfeld, tallied six assists in the win. Donovan leads the team in goals (17) and points (39), while Thiesfeld touts 21 assists and 25 points. Thiesfeld leads NCAA Division III in assists per game (1.31). Sophomore Spencer Banks is 10-2 with a 0.79 GAA and a .757 save percentage (28 saves) in net. Donovan totaled 52 points (23g/6a) last year as a freshman as the Blugolds posted a 15-4 record in their first season as a program.
SERIES HISTORY: Tuesday's game is the first between the two schools on the soccer pitch.
