COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University stayed at No. 5 in tonight's (Oct. 16) D3football.com Top 25 poll.
North Central (Ill.) collected 21 of the 25 first-place votes and 619 points to keep the top spot in the poll. Mount Union (Ohio) received the other four first-place votes and is No. 2 (591 points), followed by Wisconsin-Whitewater (573 points), Mary Hardin-Baylor of Texas (554 points) and SJU (497).
Seven teams in NCAA Region 6 were ranked in the top 25: Wisconsin-Whitewater (No. 3), SJU (No. 5), Linfield (No. 6), Wisconsin-La Crosse (No. 9), Bethel (No. 11), Wisconsin-River Falls (No. 22) and Wisconsin-Oshkosh (No. 24). Wisconsin-Platteville, Wisconsin-Stout and Carleton received votes.

Aaron Syverson (Minnetonka, Minn.) passed for 351 yards and five touchdowns, including three scores to senior tight end
Alex Larson (Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge), in a 49-10 road win Saturday (Oct. 15) at St. Olaf. Senior wide receiver
Nick VanErp (Battle Lake, Minn./Ottertail Central) finished with career highs in catches (8) and receiving yards (141), marking the first 100-yard receiving performance of his collegiate career.
The Johnnies (5-1, 3-1 MIAC, 1-0 Northwoods) play host to Gustavus Adolphus (4-2, 3-1 MIAC, 2-0 Northwoods) as part of Family Weekend at 1 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 22, in Clemens Stadium.
